Green Grass Moon

The Green Grass Moon brings more Spring weather. A time when traditionally the dry grasses would be burned to make way for the green grass to grow. It is also a time when the many different birds lay their Eggs. In a time before artificial lighting this meant that there had to be ways of preserving Eggs as certain birds do not lay year-round. Also called the Pink Moon, as the Phlox and other flowers make a long awaited appearance at this time.
